Today their conservation status may be as "least concern", but tomorrow it can easily change to "threatened" or even "extinct". During my lifetime so far, it has happened to so many species... For example to giraffes.

Rabbits are ingenious animals, who have highly delicate and complex social life. That concerns also those kept as pet animals.
Way too often they are bought to children as if they were toys. Some people purchase them as substitutes for cats or dogs, which is totally unfair.
